The Rwandan government has established a supportive legal and institutional framework to assist non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in their missions. The Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) plays a key role in promoting good governance and overseeing civil society organizations' service delivery through ministries and district Joint-Action Forums (JADF). The government supports women’s organizations working to prevent and respond to GBV by helping them access external funding. In partnership with UNDP, the RGB launched a program to strengthen civil society organizations' capacity in areas such as gender equality, GBV prevention, child protection, and women's and youth empowerment. Since the program's inception, a total of 7,984,687,632 Rwandan Francs has been provided to 245 organizations by the RGB, alongside contributions from other partners supporting gender-related initiatives.
